Summer Is Here! Don't Forget to Water! ☀️🌱

​Wow, look at that forecast for the next few days! 🌡️ With temperatures hitting up to 29°C, summer has officially arrived in full force. While we might be enjoying the sunshine, our gardens are going to get thirsty very quickly! 🥵💦

​To keep your plants thriving and green during this mini heatwave, here are my top Garden Glow watering rules:

​⏰ Timing is Everything: Water early in the morning or late in the evening. Avoid watering in the midday sun, as the water will evaporate before reaching the roots, and water droplets on leaves can cause scorching!

​🌳 Focus on the Roots: Pour water directly at the base of the plants, not over the leaves.

​Potted Plants Need Extra Love: Pots, hanging baskets, and containers dry out much faster than garden beds. They might need a good soak both morning and night during these 28°C+ days!

​💦 Drench, Don’t Just Sprinkle: A deep soak every couple of days is much better than a light sprinkle every day. It encourages the roots to grow deeper into the soil to find moisture.
​Don't forget to put out a shallow dish of water for the birds and hedgehogs too! 🐦🦔

Today’s project was all about reclaiming this front area. It had been completely taken over by stubborn w**ds, dandelions, and overgrown grass, making the entrance look neglected.
