Well another busy week for the team. Here we had a dead and dangerous weeping willow tree that we dismantled all timber and waste was left. Wich will encourage wildlife to make it there new home.

Well we have hade a very productive week even though its been a bit wet.

We unfortunately had to fully remove this silver birch due to a lage cavity in the trunk. So from the very tips to the roots where removed.

Another casualty of Thursdays storm.

PLEASE IF YOU SEE MUSHROOMS OR FUNGUS ON OR AROUND YOUR TREES. CALL US WE CAN DO AN INSPECTION WHICH IS FREE OF CHARGE.

This lovely old ash had fruiting body's at the base which caused a weakness. The total failure of the tree might have been avoidable.
If the tree had been pollarded and thined so that the sail area for the wind to hit would be reduced.

Sometimes there is nothing we can do except take trees down but we like to preserve trees as best we can.

Big thank you to Treemendous oaks ltd for mobilising so quickly to help clear this ash tree off a public footpath.

Its always sad to see a big oak tree fall to the high winds. But instead of making fire wood out of it. we can give it a second chance. Using a timber mill. we made lovely oak slabs that in the next 2 years can be used as table tops or kichen counters.

Its a Second chance to see the beautiful tree in a new way.

Its getting closer to that time of year where apple and pear trees will need there winter pruning.

For those how have plum green gage and walnut trees your time is starting to run out.
They must not be pruned when there is chance of frost.

As they can get a disease called silver leaf which can possibly kill them 24 months.

So this has been a first for me bulding a rased football pich for young children.

Its taken 2 sessions to get to this standard
With a good friend on a 14tone digger doing a ruth level.

Then getting in 16 tones of high quality topsoil to level by hand and 65kg of grass seed

Its definitely been an exspirence glad its finished and I get to do the easy bit mower the grass.
