Another job completed from start to finish! 👌

Our customer originally wanted a concrete pathway, but after discussing the options, we suggested paving slabs for a cleaner, more modern finish—and they were really pleased with the end result.

The new pathway has been laid with disabled access in mind, with a gentle slope on both sides of the ramp to make access easier. We also installed a new fence post, with the customer choosing to fit the fence panels themselves.

As with many groundworks jobs, we came across an unexpected gas pipe, but nothing we couldn’t work around to get the job completed safely.

Another happy customer and another quality job finished. On to the next one! 💪

Another quality project completed by BK Builds! 👌

It all started with this lean-to/carport on the left-hand side, built to provide the customer with a practical sheltered area from the weather. Once that was finished, they were so pleased with the workmanship that they asked us to come back and build this brand-new front porch.

As always, everything was completed to a high standard. We built the porch, completed the internal ceiling, roofing, guttering, and all the finishing touches. We also relocated the existing air bricks to the front of the new porch the correct way, ensuring the property’s ventilation wasn’t compromised.

Another happy customer and another project completed with quality workmanship from start to finish.

Another quality transformation completed alongside Muddy Boot's General Services

From an overgrown, uneven area to a clean, solid patio space — these before-and-after photos show the difference proper groundwork makes. The customer was over the moon with the finished result.

A lot of people think slabbing is easy and that anyone can do it, but the preparation is what separates a job that lasts from one that fails. We don’t cut corners. Every patio we install is done properly and built to last:

✔️ 100mm chalk base
✔️ Fully whacker plated and compacted
✔️ Full mortar bed to match slab thickness
✔️ Mixed properly in a cement mixer
✔️ 5:1 ratio — 5 sand to 1 cement dry mix

You’d be surprised how many slabs get laid straight onto sand. That’s not how we work.

We tried to run the new fence off-centre to avoid the old concrete… turns out the last lot who did the fence had the same idea. Still ended up breaking through it the hard way.

Tough job from start to finish, but no shortcuts here — straight as an arrow and built to last.

Did this alongside Muddy Boot's General Services. Such a privilege working alongside my brother and working as a team.
