Tundish showing signs of water? Either a constant drip, small stream or a large flow of water going into the Tundish is a sign that one or the safety features of the pressurised cylinder has failed.

With this particular job it was the Temp & Pressure Relief Valve causing a small stream of hot/warm water to flow through the tundish. The valve in situe looked as it had never been changed being the original from the time inital installation.

A quick partial drain down of the system and a slight alteration to the pipework and in went the newer version of the valve.

It is always better to safe when it comes to a unvented pressurised cylinder. If you see signs of water inside your tundish get in contact with a qualified plumber.

Before and After.

Corroded back nut on the basin tap making the tap unsecured and loose - Renewed basin tap for a Grohe monobloc single lever mixer. New clicker basin waste to go with the new tap.

Bath tap was not regulating the water temperature either too hot or too cold - Fitted a new Bristan thermostatic bath shower mixer which gives the user full control of the temperature and keeps it at a constant temperature.

Dripping taps *in this case a lot worse than a drip* Not only can they be annoying, hearing water dripping into the sink all the time but once again this could end up leaving you with a unpleasant surprise when your water bill comes, especially if you are on a water meter this is unnecessary wasteage of water and can easily be rectified most of the time. Here we simply changed the 1/4 Turn Ceramic Disc Valves which allowed a full flow of water and stopped the water dead as soon as they were turned off.

A Plastic Side entry Filling Valve may be Cheap but they are also unreliable. This one wouldn't shut off completely causing the water to overflow into the W.C Pan/Bowl Wasting Water and also adding to the Water Bill. We replaced the Filling Valve for a Sturdy & Reliable Part 2 Brass Side Entry Ball Valve. The benefit of this type of valve is that they last a long time and are easily cost effectively repaired.

A Faulty Siphon causing water to constantly flow into the W.C Pan/Bowl. This not only wastes a lot of water but also adds a surprising amount extra to your water bill. A simple Siphon change has rectified the problem. @ Walton-on-Thames
