So on the back of doing the picket fence in the last post we did, we got talking to the next door neighbours, who were pleasantly surprised at quite how affordable we make picket fences......this then led to us being asked to install a new fence to the front, to match next doors, and to replace the old featheredge fence to the side.
We came back a couple a weeks later, and had the pleasure of wrapping up these fences, with a lovely custom picket fence incorporating 3 gates, and a pretty cool staggered featheredge fence, all standing straight and proud, designed to last for years, All built from the right materials.

And i hope you will agree, when you see it all together it does look smart.

We love a bit of picket fencing, how smart does it make the front of a home look? For bang for buck, I don't think fencing gets any better.
This is all hand crafted, each picket lovingly cut and shaped before being fit. the board along the bottom is scribed to match the ground below, leaving us with a lovely straight horizontal level board to work off, hence why the tops of everything lines up perfect, its a really cool fence, which will last for years.

May i present my 3rd style of bin store. We recently built and installed this 3 bay bin store in Cawston, Rugby.
I love it, it's really smart, modern design with slatted doors and panels, and incorporates a large planter across the top, which when bursting with life, i'm sure will attract all kinds of beneficial insects like bees and butterflies, which makes a lovely change from what is usually a fly and blue bottle hideout!
All the timber is treated, and the planter is fully lined, so this will be a thing of beauty for years to come. Thanks Lisa.

We have recently had the pleasure of building this beautiful outdoor office for Adam, Jodie and family in Southam, Warwickshire.
The dimensions are 5.0M x 3.0M x 2.4M so its a really good size with a tonne of functionality.
Its on a solid 100mm steel mesh reinforced concrete slab.
Its fully insulated throughout the base, ceiling and walls and has been delivered fully operational with its own electric supply and fuse board, internal sockets and internal and external switched lighting.
The door and windows are Upvc double glazed, and the cladding is 18mm treated tongue and groove.
We added a small deck to the front and a sandstone path for easy access.
It's gorgeous! We are super proud of what has been achieved here. You can see from the pictures, this has been built to last, this has been built to be functional, this has been built to be comfortable, and this has been built to be beautiful!
I would love to do a lot more of these.

We've been back to Flying fields in Southam again this week to complete this fantastic roofed pergola, it's huge, it stands at over 6m long and 4.5 wide and obviously it's got a rather funky shape, as we followed the existing patio.
We built the structure from 150mmx 50mm treated timbers, and the posts are chunky at 100x100mm, which adds up to a really solid, long-lasting structure.
It's stunning, there's an internal rear privacy screen, and it's perfect for partying long into the night, dropping a projector screen and having an outdoor cinema, or even catching some shade from the gorgeous weather we currently enjoying.

We've been back to flying fields in southam today to straighten trees.
We do lots more than hard landscaping.
Unfortunately, I can't show the before pics as we didn't plant them, but they were planted with one stake in such a way that 18 months later, all the trees were leaning towards the stakes.
So, to address the issue, we removed the problem stakes and straps, and added 30 new stakes, 2 per tree, one either side of the trunk, so that the trees could be gently pulled back into line, using new belt straps, which are a little kinder on the trees.
All in all a very satisfying days work, and another couple of delighted customers,

We've been busy on Flying Fields in Southam again. This time, we installed this gorgeous 24m2 natural sandstone patio in silver grey, with a charcoal block paving border and cotswold gravel.
Sandstone is considerably cheaper to install than porcelain, but in our opinion, when laid neatly in sharp rows in a half bond pattern, it's every bit as striking!
Massive thanks to Jess and Matt, fabulous customers, biscuits and coffee was a plenty, the sun was out all week, and hopefully we'll be back later in the year as there's a phase 2 in the works.
