The recent illegal felling of the Sycamore Gap tree, which has stood for 300 years, is such an awful, crying shame. The tree had great sentimental value to so many people in the area and beyond. This act of environmental vandalism is absolutely appalling.

The tree has been portrayed proudly on our logo for over 20 years, where it remains as a tribute.
