At Terra Foras, we’re a design & build company — meaning the design comes first. We consider how the garden will actually be used, how it looks from inside the house, how spaces connect, and how planting, materials and structure work together.
This garden had an unusual wide, shallow footprint, so simply adding a patio and lawn would never have made the most of it.
Instead, we created a series of distinct zones and places to sit, using generous planting, trees and layered heights to add depth, enclosure and interest throughout the garden.
That’s the value of good garden design: turning an awkward space into somewhere that feels considered, balanced and completely connected to the home.
