We’ve visited a couple of times now, and every single time the team greets you like family. The atmosphere is so fun and vibrant, with excellent food, drinks, and—most importantly, amazing staff.

We don’t usually revisit restaurants when we’re travelling… but Farm Magazzino is the exception! We’ve been back three times! 🤍
This working farm produces its own fresh mozzarella and ricotta, and honestly, the food is to die for. Everything feels so authentic, fresh, and full of flavour.
The farm shop is just as amazing, perfect for a coffee and a snack while browsing their incredible selection of meats and (of course) cheeses 🧀☕
What really makes it special is the warm, friendly staff and the genuine family feel of the place. You can tell there’s so much love behind everything they do.
If you’re ever nearby, this is an absolute must-visit!

Castello dei Naselli d’Aragona is a magnificent example of the architectural heritage found across Sicily. The attention to detail (God is in the detail) from its intricate capitals to the sweeping vaults, domes, and arcades, makes it truly exceptional. The sheer scale of the building is awe-inspiring, and the craftsmanship of the architects and masons who brought it to life is nothing short of remarkable. As an architect, I deeply admire both the artistry and the enduring legacy left behind by those who created it. The layers of detail are extraordinary; the more you look, the more you discover.

Mount Etna, Sicily 🌋
I’ve always loved the architecture of Sicily — its history, its craft, its human touch. But here, I was reminded that nature is the greatest architect of all.
Mount Etna is wild, ever-changing — at times calm, at times violent. The journey upwards is filled with contrast: the sweet scent of Etna broom (Genista aetnensis) drifting through the air, gradually giving way to a stark, almost lunar landscape near the summit.
And yet, life persists. Butterflies glide through what seems like an inhospitable world, a quiet reminder of resilience. Even the snow tells a story, layered with clear strata from its formation.
It’s a true sight to behold — humbling, powerful, and unforgettable.

Sometimes I’m reminded that each of us only gets so many sunrises in a lifetime.
I feel incredibly lucky to have shared so many of mine with my wife — especially as we celebrate 15 years of marriage. 🌅❤️
