It can be used around a structural frame to create a single skin wall (no cavity) that offers great insulation as well
as thermal mass. Hempcrete is a fantastic substrate on which to plaster. It gives added rigidity to your timber frame whilst remaining flexible, therefore not susceptible to cracking. Also wraps your timbers away from rodents, wood boring insects and is fire retardant. On top of all of that, Hempcrete is natural, breathable, and is sustainable - it has a carbon rating better than carbon neutral! Shalco spray apply Hempcrete making it efficient. Spray applied Hempcrete is great for restoration projects where recesses are not uniform shapes and can be hard to insulate with fleeces or board materials.
