John has worked in the marine industry since 1991, and has a Diploma in Yacht & Boatyard Management (Southampton Institute of Higher Education) and a Diploma in Small Craft Surveying (Lloyds Maritime Academy). John previously worked for the historic family boat building and repair business - Tough Brothers Ltd and Tough's Boatyard Ltd - for 15 years. As such, John is also experienced in project management and provides a consultancy service, working as an owner's representative for boat re-fits.

I carried out a pre-purchase survey of this beautiful 47ft Dunkirk Little Ship Fedalma II and I've been working with her owner during her renovation. She was built of teak in 1936 by C. H. Fox & Son in Ipswich. Looking forward to seeing her cruising in the future.
