Laryngomalacia is also known as laryngealmalacia or Laryngeal stridor. One of the reason for that is the condition causes a high-pitched sound called stridor when breathing in.
Laryngomalacia is the most common causes of noisy breathing in infants. It is caused by malformed or floppy tissue that falls over the airway opening and cause partial obstruction.
