Making Rooms We are a south London-based building firm that specialises in breathing new life into homes.

Making Rooms is the brainchild of founding director Steve Nash, who established the family-run business 15 years ago. Steve spent many years in the construction industry honing his trade before stepping out on his own. Drawing on his experience and knowledge, Steve has built a strong team and works alongside his partner Maggie Nash, to deliver exception projects. Today Making Rooms offers a full a

Even the smallest of spaces can yield surprising results when planned and expanded to its fullest potential. For this project, Making Rooms was tasked with converting a loft into a spare room that would be used for guests and as an office. We managed to create an inviting space that includes an en suite so visitors don’t have to go downstairs to use the facilities.

This along with some works carried out in the kitchen on the ground floor have meant this house is now future-proofed for this family.

Alongside a loft conversion, Making Rooms was able to significantly enlarge the useable space of this property by extending the back of the house on the ground floor to create a large open plan lounge, dining room and kitchen.

Not only has the project created a new family room, it has achieved a strong connection to the garden, with direct access gained via large floor-to-ceiling bi-folding glass doors.

The project was completed early against a speedy programme, whilst still delivering to fantastic quality. We were so impressed with the level of communication throughout the project; both providing excellent advice to us but also listening to our needs.

With eye-catching parquet flooring, this loft conversion was all about creating a sophisticated top floor bedroom.

An example of a Tier III package, the owners of this property opted to do a full renovation that included a rear extension, adding significantly to an open plan lounge / kitchen and a loft conversion to create a spacious master bedroom with en suite.

Each floor of the house received an update, whether a lick of paint or complete renovation such as the family bathroom. To finish off the project, the clients chose to have their garden landscaped.

The focus for this project was to transform what was once a small kitchen and lounge area into a space that could be enjoyed by the whole family.

The newly finished space now integrates the lounge with the kitchen making it a great space to entertain. While large skylights, together with sliding glass doors, flood the room with natural light.

For this project in Epsom, the client required an extended lounge and kitchen dining room with large bi-folding doors to let natural light flood the previously poorly lit kitchen.

The project demanded a substantial structural steel frame to accommodate the three large bi-fold doors. The framework was discreetly concealed within the cavity of the walls and ceiling, making all works look original.

This build added 37m to the property, increasing the internal space by over a fifth (22.7%)
