The old roof structure on top of this potting shed had left this space totally unusable and potentially dangerous.
After completely stripping the old sheeting and rotting timbers, a new roof structure was created, giving life back to this space. The old potting shed has now become ‘The Bee Shed’.
This space will be used by a holistic bee keeper here on Exmoor National Park.

Hands up, I'm a self-confessed techno-phobe and generally avoid technology as much as possible. Add on top of that the arrival of our second son, a house move, raising a family and running the business - life has been busy!
That being said I'm really keen to share; to share my knowledge and my passion for heritage carpentry, sustainable building and beautifully crafted products.
Roots is a family business, we are slowly emerging from our newborn bubble and getting ready to put more energy back into what we love. Beth my wife runs things behind the scenes and who knows, maybe my boys will carry on the Roots legacy.
There's a fantastic community of carpenters on instagram, I'm looking forward to sharing more of my work but also connecting with likeminded craftspeople all over the world.
