Not every kitchen needs starting from scratch

For this project in Tenterden, we only replaced a mix of solid wood and granite surfaces with a light quartz worksurface, and installed a brand new double bowl Belfast sink to replace the old, used one.

You’d be surprised how far a few small changes can go. Sometimes that’s all it takes to bring a kitchen back to life.

Giving this kitchen a whole new lease of life… and what a result!

We’ve just recently completely this kitchen facelift in Staplehurst.

Rather than replacing the existing cabinets, we reworked them to suit the new design.

Here are the additions and updates made as part of the project:

🔹 Light grey painted shaker doors
🔹 30mm Silestone Posidonia Green quartz worktop
🔹 Franke ceramic inset sink
🔹 Caple Purity drinking water tap
🔹 Pull-out waste bin for added convenience
🔹 New soft-close hinges on existing cabinetry
🔹 Stylish new handles (for that final touch)

A great example of how a few well thought out updates can completely refresh a kitchen while making the most of what’s already there.

Traditional at heart, bold by design

This recently completed Staplehurst project is full of character and beautiful detailing.

A Fir Green and Porcelain-painted shaker kitchen featuring a Shaws of Darwen double bowl Belfast sink and a statement range cooker with a canopy mantle surround and 150mm pullout units either side (because every inch counts!).

The appliances bring both performance and practicality: 2x AEG fully integrated dishwashers, an American fridge freezer with a pigeon hole wine rack custom made for the low ceiling, and a LuxAir canopy extractor.

There are some lovely details in here too: antique bronze cup and k**b handles, 30mm quartz worktops with ogee edge profiling, large splashback behind range cooker and window sill, skirting plinth, glazed wall units with glass shelves and LED downlighting.

Our recommended installer, Chris Prior, pretty much rebuilt the room from scratch - new boarded walls, new flooring, plastering, and scribing the cornice around the many ceiling beams - and look at the results!

Our showroom will be open by appointment only until Tuesday 5th May, returning to normal hours thereafter.

We’re excited to share that our new baby has arrived, so I’ll be spending a bit more time at home during these first few weeks.

I’ll still be working as usual and attending pre-booked appointments, but showroom hours will be more flexible during this period.

Business is very much as usual. We will just be operating a little differently for a short time.

Please make sure to book an appointment in advance if you’d like to visit.

Steve introduced kitchen fitter Chris, who was exceptional, and the decorator, but was equally happy to work with my choices of electrician and flooring contractor. After the kitchen was installed there was a problem with one of the new AEG appliances and Steve liaised with AEG to ensure this was replaced without quibble.” - James Smith
