CO alarm activation call out today with SGN capped meter for an elderly customer.

After reconnecting and testing we found the activation to be caused by both the inner & outer flue terminal being unsealed with the strong winds blowing dangerous plume back into the property.

This is a common issue we find daily & really highlights the importance of choosing the correct installer.

Evening call out for a report of no CH/HW with strange noises coming from the boiler.

We found the condense trap to be completely blocked and backed up into the main heat exchanger. The gas valve was also adjusted back to manufacturer’s requirements as this was well above limits.

The customer mentioned the boiler was only serviced a week ago but it looks as if these have been clearly missed!

Common Ideal F2 with vibrating noise breakdown this morning. This is mainly caused by lack of servicing or incorrect servicing. Main HEX flushed, injector polished & partial blockage of condense caused by aluminium oxide build up cleared.

Very high flue gas readings for this Ideal Logic. Incorrectly installed flue seal was found to be the problem. This was serviced annually by a very well known company and never picked up.
