I see so many people buying portable air con units every summer, when they could often have a professionally installed air conditioning system for not much more.

By the time you've bought a decent portable unit, put up with the noise, lost window space, and higher running costs, the price difference isn't always as big as people think.

A properly installed system is quieter, more efficient, cools the whole room properly, and can often provide heating in winter too.

It's always worth getting a quote before assuming a fixed air con installation is out of budget—you might be surprised.

Nice little job in west lavington completed this week ✅

This property has been upgraded from an old gravity-fed hot water system to a modern unvented cylinder, which we've relocated into the loft to make better use of the available space.

Benefits of an unvented cylinder include:

✔️ Higher hot water pressure throughout the home
✔️ More powerful showers
✔️ Faster bath filling times
✔️ Improved hot water performance at multiple outlets
✔️ Better use of cupboard and airing cupboard space

The bathroom also received a full refresh. We removed the old green mosaic tiles and electric shower, replacing them with modern waterproof wall panels, a new bath filler basin tap and wastes and shower setup, in stylish matt black fixtures throughout,

A great transformation that not only modernises the bathroom but also improves the overall hot water performance of the property.

A bathroom we've recently finished for some good friends who have just moved into their new home.

After a long wait, they finally got the keys and were keen to get started on making the place their own. When we first went round to have a look, they mentioned they had a trip to Vegas booked, so we came up with a plan to get as much done as possible while they were away.

They did a great job choosing everything for the bathroom — we managed to get a full heating system in majority of a bathroom and water softner done aswell as other odd jobs to help there renovation move along quickly done by the time they got back from Vegas

We're really pleased with how it turned out. The light grey tiles, black fixtures, and clean modern finish all work brilliantly together.

Another fantastic project completed! 🔥

We've recently finished a full heating and plumbing installation featuring:

Another bathroom transformation completed 🙌

This one was for a family we’ve known for many years — always a pleasure working with great people you trust.

The project ran slightly over our usual 2-week turnaround (just an extra 3 days) as it coincided with us being away on a stag do. Big thanks to the clients for their patience while we made sure everything was finished to a high standard.

We’re really pleased with how this one turned out 👇

All work was handled from start to finish by us at LScott Plumbing:

• Removal and disposal of the existing suite
• Boarding and plastering
• Tiling
• Electrics
• Plumbing
• Painting

We even got stuck in with the groundwork ourselves on this one to achieve a low-level shower tray 👊

Another completed bathroom transformation ✅

We recently carried out this full upgrade for a really lovely elderly couple, focusing on making their daily routine safer, easier, and more comfortable.

The old setup was replaced with a modern low-level shower tray and easy-access enclosure, complete with grab rails and a fold-down seat — giving them the confidence to shower independently without the worry of stepping in and out of a bath.

We also completed a full combi boiler conversion as part of the project 🔧

Switching to a combi system means:
✔️ Instant hot water on demand — no waiting around
✔️ Improved water pressure straight from the mains for a much better shower experience ()
✔️ No bulky tanks or cylinders, freeing up space and simplifying the system ()
✔️ More energy efficient, helping to keep running costs down ()
