We’re absolutely delighted to be named as a finalist for the Innovation in Farming Award at the Scottish Land & Estates Awards 2026, sponsored by EQ Accountants.

Ovis are transforming Scottish sheep wool into wool pellets, mulch mats and liners, creating new value from a natural resource while supporting farmers, improving soil performance and contributing to a more circular agricultural economy.

We’re thrilled to be shortlisted alongside Isle of Mull Cheese and Lower Mill of Tynet Farm, two fantastic Scottish farming businesses doing things differently.

Day two at the North Scotland Garden Show and it's been fantastic to see so many people through the gates!

There's been a huge amount of interest in Ovis wool pellets, with lots of great conversations about sustainable gardening, improving soil health and making use of a natural Scottish resource.

The atmosphere has been brilliant all day, with plenty of visitors, a wide variety of stands to explore and lots happening across the showground.

If you haven't made it along yet, there's still time! The gates are open until 4pm, so come down and see what's happening, browse the fantastic exhibits and businesses, and stop by the Ovis stand for a chat.

The gates are open and day one of the North Scotland Garden Show is officially underway!

I'm here with the Ovis stand, showcasing our sustainable wool pellets, mulch mats and liners. Looking forward to meeting lots of gardeners, growers and plant lovers throughout the day.

There's already a fantastic atmosphere, with an incredible range of businesses set up and ready to welcome visitors. It's great to see so many local businesses and organisations coming together to share ideas, products and inspiration for the gardening community.

We’re at Huntly Farmers' Market today and it’s a brilliant one! There are loads of stalls to explore, from local meat and honey to crafts and fresh bakery treats… and of course, Ovis Wool Pellets!

Yesterday’s sneak preview was our new 100% wool mulch mats and liners, now available as part of the Ovis range.

We’re really pleased to be supporting farmers by extending our product range, while continuing to offer practical, sustainable solutions for gardeners.

Our new range includes:
Mulch mats with a slit – ideal for placing around trees and shrubs

Mulch mats without a slit – perfect for general ground cover and beds

Hanging basket liners (3 sizes) – a natural alternative for seasonal planting

Designed to:
Suppress weeds
Retain moisture
Reduce reliance on plastic-based materials
