False Autumn is here when trees shut down and lose their leaves to say energy. However we are noticing an absence of nuts and berries… which is not great for wildlife as we possibly enter a wet period later. autumn

Sanzon Seki-gumi - when we position stones in a Japanese inspired garden we normally work in threes ! They are to represent Heaven, Humanity and Earth . Now that we are past most of the breeding season for pond dwellers we have started to tidy up wildlife ponds. We typically lay the Greenwaste around the sides for a few days so that anything left behind has a chance to get back into the pond !

July has been a hard month ! Hot weather , Van and Tools stolen, absence of water but we keep on going … watch this space for an exciting new project in August.
