We got called out to fix a flatroof a couple of weeks ago and I quickly measured up the flatroof and went on my way to the next job to price. Anyway the customer excepted our price so today I went back to carry out the work. Once I got on the roof ready to make a start on the flatroof I noticed a few things that didn’t look right. On further inspection I’ve had to cancel the flatroof and advise the home owner on another solution. We could of easily completed the flatroof but that wouldn’t of rectified the real problem.

This roof has been fit so badly that no amount of repair work would solve the many leaks appearing all over the roof. We see bad jobs everyday but ones like this really take the biscuit. I feel so sorry for the home owner and I hate delivering bad news but I wouldn’t put our reputation at risk by taking on a job that is done so badly that we may never fix the problems. The only certain fix is a new roof.

The problems on this roof are many and the biggest is that the roof structure isn’t designed to hold the weight of these tiles, one roof in the barnes area collapsed because of this reason. These so called roofing companies are putting peoples lives at risk.
