RESCUE MISSION: From a disaster to a showstopper! 🛠️✨
​Take a look at that "Before" photo... 😱 To say this staircase was in a bad state would be an understatement. There was no balustrade, no safety, and absolutely no style. It was a complete eyesore!
​We stepped in to bring some solid oak elegance back to this home. 🌳
​The Plan:
The client decided to go with a cosy carpet for the steps (currently on its way!), but they wanted the best of the best for the frame. We installed this stunning solid oak balustrade with modern, black geometric spindles. 🖤
​Now, I have a question for you all – and I'm curious about your honest opinions:
​1️⃣ THE CARPET CHOICE: Even though we usually fit bespoke oak treads (our personal favourite!), the client went for carpet. Do you think carpet on stairs is a classic "must-have" for comfort, or should they have gone full oak with us? 👟
​2️⃣ THE SPINDLES: Are you a fan of this modern geometric look, or do you prefer the traditional turned wooden spindles?

It started with a message from a client who was simply fed up with her worn, tired staircase…

She wanted a change — and I knew exactly how to help.

This staircase has undergone a complete transformation 🔥

The client couldn’t stand looking at her pine staircase anymore. She wanted something solid, modern, and elegant.

Instead of replacing the entire staircase, I carried out a full renovation: oak overlays with LED lighting and motion sensors, along with a new, solid oak balustrade fitted with metal balusters. The entire project was completed by me — from manufacturing the oak overlays to the final installation — with great attention to detail and in line with the client’s expectations.

The result? Warm, elegant oak combined with modern lighting and metal accents that completely transformed the space. I fulfilled the client’s dream, and she was thrilled with the final outcome.

Thank you so much for all the comments on my last post! 🙏
I really appreciate every bit of support, so I’m excited to show you another staircase makeover.

This time, the client had tried to refresh the stairs on his own by laying some linoleum, but he wasn’t fully happy with how it turned out. So I suggested oak stair overlays with LED lighting and motion sensors, plus a new balustrade with metal spindles to give the whole space a fresh, modern look.

The result? He’s absolutely over the moon and told me the stairs have changed the feel of his entire home — and that it was worth every penny! 🔥
