Happy Friday everyone! Part of todays jobs was printing off the design report for a large extension in pendlebory that we have designed. This has had planning permission and building regulations drawings approved by the council and these CGI images give you an idea of how the project will look well before the building works have started. These images are really helpful when making key decisions about the design and are included as standard for all the projects we design.

Hope everyone is keeping well, its been busier than ever during the last 6 months and we're finally getting around to posting about some of the projects we've been involved with... first up is my own kitchen extension...

The existing kitchen was a small lean-to extension to the original house that was built in the 70's and it was very poorly insulated and had lots of issues with damp. For this reason it was deemed the best overall to knock the entire kitchen down and re-build a new larger kitchen that would span the width of the house so there would finally be space for some of the utilities that we'd not been able to fit in the previous kitchen e.g. dishwasher, tumble dryer and (my personal favourite) a huge american fridge freezer. The 3D model and the CGI images (on this post) helped that design process so we knew what it would be like even before starting building but also it helped engaging kitchen suppliers as it helps them easily understand the project too, in this case the kitchen was purchased from Howdens who produced this lovely CGI (also in the post) using the specific products we were buying.

I'll post some pictures of the finished kitchen once the tiling to the backsplash has been completed.
