I had a couple of lovely reviews from a customer I went to see the other week.

I’ll be honest when I looked at the job I thought probably what most of the previous plumbers had thought as she mentioned a few had walked away from it.

The system was old, it had old valves which didn’t work, access wasn’t great and the access to the actually taps were really obstructed, definitely a challenge.

But also the taps that were currently in had really had their day, leaking, moving around and generally making life difficult for her.

I said ‘Shirley, if I can’t do it then it can’t be done, let’s have a go at it’ the job went really well it definitely was a struggle but we got there, she was overjoyed and I was down the road, another happy customer.

Granted this is an extreme case, this is probably the biggest build up of scale I have ever seen!

The cylinder was only removed due to upgrade and I just could not believe how heavy it was even with all the water drained out.

I couldn’t resist cutting it open, it was solid! So if you don’t have some form of scale prevention it is worth thinking about, there are too many up sides to list, but ‘system efficiency’ is probably top of that list which will ultimately keep those bills down.

Here is a bathroom we fitted earlier in the year but I believe I forgot to post it. Anyway, it’s December we do have some flexibility in the diary, for any last minute jobs, I will be on call over Xmas wearing a reindeer jumper so if you get caught out plumbing wise give us a shout.

Used a new shower panel system today which is making panelling a lot more affordable. The standard multipanel is around £200 a sheet, this pvc panelling is around £80 a sheet and wider.

Of course there are pro’s and con’s to each material but the customer and even myself were very happy with the finish and it took only a few hours.

Makes sprucing up your en-suite or bathroom a much more digestible figure.
