As the year comes to a close, we wanted to say thank you to the clients and collaborators we have had the pleasure of working with throughout 2025.

A year that has seen new homes completed, others taking shape on site, and new ideas quietly forming in the studio.

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Evening light and winter skies over Polzeath.

With the sea stretching out towards Newlands Island and Pentire Point, this recently completed Polzeath home sits just above the coast path, looking far out across the Atlantic while offering warmth and shelter closer in as the light fades.

Large openings frame the horizon, while sheltered terraces and layered stone walls create a sense of enclosure and calm. A coastal home shaped for winter evenings, slow transitions and life lived between house and sea.

The Bat House (Part Three)

A closer look at the glass link that connects the restored farmhouse to the new timber wing. The connection is deliberately minimal, with a small, carefully formed opening in the gable of the original building.

The new structure sits lightly against the old, allowing the historic stonework to remain largely untouched while bringing light deep into the plan and framing views through to the landscape beyond.

The Bat House (Part Two)...

A closer look at The Bat House, exploring the texture and rhythm of its materials. The vertical larch cladding, Cornish stone and slate all working together to root the building in its landscape.

The detailing is simple and deliberate, balancing robustness with refinement, and letting the materials and detailing speak for themselves.

Captured beautifully by , with thanks to , , , and everyone involved.

Introducing The Bat House, a recently completed renovation and timber extension set within a quiet Cornish valley. The approach winds through the trees before the farmhouse slowly reveals itself, with old stone, new timber and soft morning light.

A project rooted in place and simplicity, connecting old and new through honest materials and calm detailing.
