What a fantastic day yesterday was (despite the late Saturday night / Sunday morning 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 and the scorching heat 🥵) and lots of great football and money raised for charity.
An event that Chris always love to help each year.
Today was a rest day!

An incredible 15th football tournament since 2007 and up until last year over £60,660 alone raised by this popular and much loved event!

Play2Give's 15th Charity Football Tournament ⚽️⚽️

Sunday 12th July 2026

Wallingford Sports Park, Hithercroft Road, Wallingford

9am-4pm

Do you eat, live and breathe football? Are you a gunning Grealish or a budding Bale in the making?

Just fancy showing off some fancy footwork? Having a kick about with your mates?

Entries are open for this year’s 2026 Charity Football Tournament on Sunday July 12th at Wallingford Sports Park – and this year is a special one as this much loved and popular annual event marks its 15th anniversary of making a difference!

By taking part this year you will be part of something extra special, by being amongst the elite few supporting this fantastic game-changing fundraiser in its 15th milestone and helping to raise lots of quids to support our work in changing, transforming and saving lives across Oxfordshire!

This year’s event is kindly sponsored by Wallingford Sports Park, The Jones Robinson Group, Allum's of Oxon and Blue Blood with our thanks to these supporters for making the event possible

Over the years over £60,000 in total for a range of causes notably Oxford Children’s Hospital Oxford Hospitals Charity funding specialist medical equipment, art installations, patient comforts and even a sponsored patient room on the teenage ward. Oxford Head Injury Service - OHIS and Sobell House Hospice are amongst the other causes who benefit year on year from this thrilling and fun friendly contest. 2025’s event saw a record breaking £7,300 raised!

Entries are now open until June 29th to all adult teams aged 16 and over.

Entries cost £100 per team, and by taking part and by signing up we are encouraging teams to commit to raising at least £250 – whether raising the pounds through a simple Justgiving page or holding a bake sale, a raffle, or being daring and brave by taking the plunge as some players have over the past few years with sponsored head shaves or hair dyes.

There is a top fundraising team award presented to the team who raises the most money by the day – which for the past two years running has been awarded to ATA Logistics LTD and ATA Sameday, a Didcot-based company who in 2025 raised with gift aid close to £2,500!

The tournament is also all to play for with The P2G Paediatric Eye Fund-sponsored Cup to be won by the 2026 champions, and a beautiful Plate given to the top 3rd or 4th placed team.

On the day there will also be pitch side fun and fundraising with a raffle, tombola, and the sports park with a barbecue, food and bar. John's Whippy Didcot ice cream van will chime by around noon to keep everyone cool and refreshed.

Lovely comments from a new customer in Moulsford that we have been to a few times over the last few weeks. And now booked in for a monthly garden maintenance visit:

Chris and his team have recently been back and forth, tidying my garden in readiness for spring, pressure hosing my patio, lopping some tree branches. Etc. They have done a great job, including tidying up and taking all debris away.

All the jobs I hate.
I hardly dare walk on my nice clean patio!

Happy dry days everyone!
After a busy few months our expert landscaper surprisingly finds himself available for work from next week due to a large project being put back.
If anyone has any landscaping requirements then please let us know as we are ready to help. 'Weather!' that be patio's, decking, fencing, pergola's or raised borders then let us know as we cover all aspects of landscaping.
Whilst the rest of the business have kept ticking over we are ready to help with other areas outside your home as we approach the spring and summer month's where we get everyone 'garden ready'. Now is a great time to get your patio's pressure washed, gutters cleared or hedges cut, along with any other garden maintenance work we would love to help.

Well that’s a ‘wrap’ for us before Christmas!
December saw us complete 4 successful years in business and we have further plans to expand again next year to continue the businesses upward trajectory and satisfy demand.
Happy Christmas and a very prosperous new year to all our lovely customers, staff, sub contractors and anyone else that we have had the pleasure of working with this year.
We have a short break now but will be available again from Monday 29th December.

We are being kept busy at the moment with various work but especially hedge trimming.
It’s a great time to get it done now before the winter so it is ready to flourish again in spring.

Lovely comments from a customer in Crowmarsh today.

‘My neighbour and I asked Chris to replace some external extractor vent covers. While mine was simple, access to my neighbour’s loft wall was trickier and Chris and his team voluntarily came back twice to make sure the job was done to their satisfaction. We really appreciated the care they took over a ‘little’ job!’
