Two independent soundproofed band rehearsal studios, built from the ground up inside a large warehouse.
For this project, we designed and built two freestanding music studios for commercial rehearsal use, creating isolated room-within-room structures within the existing warehouse space.
Each studio was constructed using timber framing, Rockwool, resilient bars, SP15 soundboard, Tecsound 50 and acoustic plasterboard to provide a high-mass, decoupled build-up designed to significantly reduce sound transfer.
Fresh air was also a key part of the design. We installed a low-noise heat exchange system to circulate air throughout the studios without compromising the acoustic performance of the rooms. The ventilation system was neatly hidden within custom-built corner bass traps, keeping the space clean, practical and studio-ready.
To complete the rooms, we also installed our own range of acoustic panels, designed to control reflections and improve the internal sound of each rehearsal space.
