To help you get ready for this winter we have made some changes to our shop.

We are now selling mixed loads of hardwood and softwood.

With mixed logs you get the best of both worlds. A fire that gets to temperature quickly through the softwood logs but maintains the heat with the slower burning hardwood logs.

Standard size logs are cut to 10 inches/ 25cm long. If you need smaller or larger, please get in touch.

Since the beginning of the fuel crisis, which has seen a 40% increase in fuel, Broadhouse Logs has seen ever-increasing costs over all aspects of our business, from haulage to processing to delivery. This has affected the cost of providing a quality service to you, our customers.

We have therefore had to make the difficult decision to increase our prices ever so slightly. We are putting our prices up by 12.5%. This increase helps us ensure our commitment to providing the very best products and services to you.

CONFUSED ABOUT THE NEW CLEAN AIR STRATEGY that aims to phase out wet wood burning next year in England? Well we are here to help!

WHAT ARE WET WOODS? - Wet wood are undried logs with a moisture content of more than 20%. These are typically burned in stoves and fireplaces but due to the water content are considered poor burners and not great for the environment.

Phasing out wet wood doesn't mean you cant burn wood in your stove or fireplace. The Clean Air Strategy aims to replace this poor burning wet wood with barn or kiln dried wood.

But don't worry, you also don’t have to spend extra on kiln dried wood! YOU CAN CONTINUE USING YOUR LOCAL SUPPLIERS AS LONG AS THE WOOD IS
