I recently heard from a homeowner whose house had been on the market for 3 months with hardly any viewings. She shared some photos and straight away, I spotted a issue—How the property looked from the outside.

First impressions REALLY count. Buyers decide within minutes whether they can see themselves living in a place, and if the outside doesn’t look inviting, you could be turning buyers away without even realising it.

💡 Here are some quick and easy ways to boost your home’s kerb appeal:

- Tidy up the front garden (mow the lawn, trim hedges, pull up weeds)
- Move wheelie bins out of sight
- Clean the windows and doors
- Jet wash the driveway and paths

We’re currently in a property market where **buyers hold the upper hand** – which means right now sellers might not achieve the price or speed of sale they’re hoping for.

📉 While prices aren’t falling across the board, we’re seeing a reality check happening. Over-optimism from sellers isn’t matching what buyers are willing (or able) to pay.

💬 Relying on stories of sky-high sales isn’t always helpful — Some homes take months to sell or involved heavy price drops before a deal was done. Others agreed at high prices but **fall through** due to areas like mortgage affordability issues.

✅ A successful sale comes when *both parties* are realistic:
