Last week, some of the team were out on site at Old Dalby test track, completing a fencing and ecology survey.

Understanding what's living and growing within a work area is a key part of planning vegetation management responsibly. These surveys help identify ecological constraints, protect habitats and species, and ensure works are carried out in line with environmental best practice.

Good planning leads to better outcomes for clients, infrastructure and the environment alike.

💧 Water infrastructure is something most people don't think about until it stops working.

Maintaining clear waterways is key to what we do to keep rivers flowing and reduce flood risk from blockages, whilst simultaneously keeping the asset safe for the public to use.

Our team also manage high risk trees to reduce risk to both people and property.

⛳️ Fundraising Challenge Alert ⛳️

On Friday 12th June, 8 members of our team will be taking on an incredible challenge, playing 72 holes of golf in just one day to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK.

To complete the challenge, they'll need to make their way around the course four times, covering approximately 23km on foot.

They will be teeing off at 6am and aiming to finish by 8pm... although golf has a way of keeping you out longer than planned! 😅

Today is World Environment Day 🌍

Every project we complete is carried out with consideration for the environments around us, helping to keep spaces safe, accessible and sustainable for both people and wildlife.

We’re getting ready for our Golf Day next week on 12th June, where some of our team will be taking on an incredible challenge at Crookhill Park golf course in Conisborough - playing 72 holes in just one day! ⛳

To put that into perspective, that’s around 30km on foot across a very hilly course.

The team are raising money for Prostate Cancer UK, supporting the vital work they do for men and families across the UK.

Here, Tom is tackling giant hogweed along the riverbank, using a boat to access areas that are difficult to reach from land.

Giant hogweed can pose a threat to riverbanks due to its fast-growing nature, quickly overrunning ecosystems and weakening riverbanks by outcompeting native plants.

That's where we come in 👏

We’re excited to announce our new additional learning space at our accredited training centre in Islip. 📚

The new classroom, part of Vegetation Management Training - VMT, has been created in response to growing demand for training courses in our industry.

With vehicles and machinery right outside the classroom door, students can now move straight from theory sessions into hands-on learning, helping them build real-world skills in a practical environment.

This will make it easier for our apprentices and staff members to develop their skills and grow their careers with us.

Our new classroom will also enable us to offer more training courses to others in the industry, not just VMS employees.
