Just wrapped up this Bristol project, and it’s a perfect example of why doing things properly matters.

At the rear of the property, we removed hollow sand and cement and uncovered a plastic membrane laid over tongue & groove flooring — something we see far too often with poor workmanship.

We carried out a full remedial process:
• Removed the flooring entirely
• Re-battened to create a solid structure
• Installed render board
• Sealed all edges with fireproof sealant
• Applied a Fondisol F basecoat with reinforcing mesh

For the finish, we went with a two-tone system:

New extension in PRB Superbrut (Carnac)
Existing house in PRB Superbrut (Blanc de Noirmoutier)

The front elevation had also blown in multiple areas, so this was stripped back, primed with PRB Acrofix Pâte, basecoated with PRB SC Gris, and refinished.

A proper job from start to finish — built to last.

Looking forward to seeing it once the scaffold is down.

When removing the existing work, we found timber fixed directly into damaged masonry with gaps left behind the structure, inadequate fixing, and no proper preparation for the render system above.

This kind of work might be hidden once finished, but it compromises the strength, weather protection, and lifespan of the wall. Over time it can lead to cracking, water ingress, and costly repairs for the homeowner.

Good rendering starts with proper preparation and solid backing — not shortcuts.

If you're having work done, make sure the structure behind the render is done correctly. What you can’t see is often the most important part.

We always try to make our render look crisp and sharp lines, we decided to use white beads on this project using PRB Systems Ltd in colour carnac, once the beads are wiped down and cleaned i think you'll agree it makes the render pop.🔥🔥

one we have just been back to do the plinth off, most done in PRB Systems Ltd superbrut colour blanc de la cote and on the dormers as they were renderboard we used fondisol f basecoat fully meshed and topped with prb thermalook also in colour blanc de la cote, plinth underneath was finished in prb superbrut in colour Belfast, looks the business now 🔥🔥🔥 Ryan Hall

Nice freshen up on this property in weston, the customer wanted to get rid of the texture and wanted it nice and smooth but still a similar colour to the existing, we made sure everything was protected and covered down, customer was over the moon and we can see why 🔥🔥 clean and crisp lines, thanks to I.C.S Scaffolding for the lovely scaffold put up to our specification, give them a message for any scaffolding needs 🔥🔥
