🕵️Another inspection competed - this time for a client purchasing a property.

🏠The roof is generally in good condition

💦A couple of cracked tiles and one slipped tile that requires refitting as water is now entering the roof space and saturating the roof rafters!

👀 Due to the limited view from ground level this client asked us to come and have a look at their roof with it approaching 40 years old!

🌧️ We dont just limit our inspection to roofs & chimneys. We checked the condition of the gutters which are original from the time of construction 130 years ago!

This properties guttering discharge into the neighbours downpipe so relies on this being clear. We identified it was blocked with a microfibre cloth causing all the rainwater to overflow and discharge onto the walls beneath causing damp!

The chimney stack also requires some repairs.

When was the last time you had your roof inspected? It may look in good condition from ground level but it’s not until the drone is above that you see the full extent…

💨 🌧️- Uncapped chimney stacks - this leaves your home vulnerable to penetrating rain and winds. It’s only when damp starts to show inside your home on chimney breasts that you may realise you have a problem…then it’s probably too late!

🏠Our equipment can get to angles even ladders can’t. The rear of a chimney stack can go unseen for years. Here we can see numerous slipped and broken tiles…who knows how long they have been there 🤷🏻‍♂️

💨 The mortar mix that the chimney pots should sit on is severely deteriorated meaning the chimney pots are now likely insecure.

None of this would have been identified without an affordable, quick, safe survey by ourselves. Now the homeowner is equipped to have the problems fixed and ready for the fast approaching autumn!
