During this job, the customer reported that a central heating radiator was getting hot when the bath was being run.

We stripped down the boiler to investigate the fault and found that the diverter valve was passing. We also identified that the domestic hot water heat exchanger was blocked.

To resolve the issue and prevent a potential recall, we replaced the diverter valve and the domestic hot water heat exchanger.

The faulty part was replaced, and hot water was successfully restored during the first visit.

After a quick look, we found a leaking sump below the heat exchanger. 👀
The boiler was stripped down, the heat exchanger removed, and a new sump fitted. 💪🔧
Boiler tested and no further leaks! Success!
