⚠️ NOT FOR THE FAINT HEARTED

It's not the nicest of things to inspect, but drains are often an overlooked area.

As part of our inspection, this and many other areas are covered to ensure peace of mind for our customers in their new homes.

🏡SHOULD I LEAVE THAT ON?

A number of properties I've visited, new first time buyers have no idea thats to protect from damage during the build and some think it's a trim which comes with door.

So the answer is NO do not leave this on, I visited a property that did for 2 years and the bottom of the garage door had significantly corroded due to trapped water.

If you've got one of these left on at handover, I'd been questioning what else they've missed.

🔍 WHAT DID WE FIND DURING OUR INSPECTION?

Multiple issues from start to finish, this property has a number of issues that I reported to the homeowner. Following my inspection, the homeowner received a fully comprehensive RPSA accredited report.

This report was then used to hold the developer to account, and ensure and issues are rectified - at their expense, not yours.

🔍 WOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS IN YOUR NEWBUILD?

Because we wouldn't, an neither should you. Having invested thousands in buying your new property, developers should ensure it's handed over correctly.
