I did a super tidy ditch dredging job last week in shillingstone. It's the little things that make a big difference.

This area floods regularly during bad weather, so by clearing the ditches, we're hoping to have reduced the chances of it flooding 🤞

Surprisingly, the ground is still in pretty good condition! 🙂

I've been out cutting hedges and doing some fence repairs and stengthening work the last week or so, and next week in on the digger all week doing some land drain installation, ditch dredging, track repairs and grading. 🚜

I've got some more hedge cutting booked in for the week after, as well as a few hundred metres of stock fence to go in to divide up a big field into smaller ones.

Here is the machinery I'm using this week! I've had the post banger on yesterday and this morning, hedge trimmer this afternoon and Thursday, and the finishing mower on Friday. 🚜

Next week is all hedges, so hopefully less switching machinery around! 😂

This returning customer asked me to put some new fence posts in for them to secure part of their field for some animals to come in, and asked me to strengthen an existing fence that was put in on the cheap, years before they bought the land.

The customer provided the posts, and I came in with the post banger and tractor and got them all in nice and straight. 🚜

Bonus for me today too as it wasn't raining! 😁

Next week I've got another day of fencing (demolish and replace), and 3 days of hedge cutting 🚜

Another fencing job started yesterday!

This customer had some fencing done last year by an 'old farmer bloke' who insisted on doing it 'on the cheap' despite the customer asking him to do it properly. He spent 3 days working, charged £2,000 in labour and left the customer with wonky posts, spaced too far apart, and no strainers! 😱

I went in and put some strainers in for them yesterday and put some extra posts in between the ones that were too far apart. This took an afternoon and cost just over £300. 🙂

Sadly I didn't manage to get any pictures of the finished products because it kept tipping it down with rain! I'm back next week though so I'll get some snaps then! 📸

Did you know I also do contract chipping? This customer has a big ol' pile of tree cuttings from their naturalistic garden and asked me to regularly come and chip it into a pile for them to use on their pathways and beds.
