A nice early start today for a drive out to A Corner Of Eden today, was asked if I could make the trip up to Ravenstondale to brighten up this external wall. What a lovely little quiet place to stay. And even a few little Red Squirrel’s roaming around 🐿️

Job finished for Ryan Smith Joinery this week. Ryan had fitted a new kitchen at this property in Ambleside with Mike Barron Tiling doing the splashback. The customer wanted the rest of the room smartening up to match the new kitchen. Bit of a strange one as this was for one of my Primary School Teachers 👀 (I hope I’ve changed since then 🤔🤦🏻‍♂️) They wanted the old wallpaper stripping off and walls re-lining and then a paint colour to go well with the new kitchen and tiles. We stuck with white for the ceilings and chose a skimming stone for the walls 👊🏻

Well that was a tough couple of weeks battling with the weather again. 🌧️🌧️ Managed to finish staining this lodge today ...

Well that was a tough couple of weeks battling with the weather again. 🌧️🌧️ Managed to finish staining this lodge today on Limefit. Was past its best and hadn’t been looked after for a while. Had to work hard on the prep for this one and get it right for the lovely customers. Was amazing to hear all the people walking past and complimenting how good it has turned out. 👏🏻👊🏻 Topped it all off with new Guttering all around

So much for the summer weather.☔️☀️Was meant to be getting on with some outside work this week but the rain put a halt to that. Luckily one of my customers had an opening in their bookings so I could crack on and get this apartment re-painted and add a couple of panel feature walls.

Another Busy week for me and grumps 🥵 along with a few other jobs, We also had this bathroom to get sorted at White Cross Bay. A small leak in a new shower unit had been happening for a while and had made the floor unsafe for guests so the owner wanted a quick turn around with little disruption to bookings. We ripped out the shower unit, replaced all the joists and flooring, repaired all the pipe work and then fit a new shower tray and walls and a new shower & screen. Added some decorative lights in the ceiling and fitted new Lino right through into the hall. All ready for the quests arriving to enjoy the Bank Holiday 👊🏻

A couple of jobs ticked off today for lovely customer. The 1st one was some panelling in a high traffic hall way which has a few four legged friends coming through and they wanted the walls protecting so this was a better option and gives the hall a new look. 2nd one was some slatted panelling to make a little makeup room look a bit more inviting.

Completed this bathroom for a returning customer. Original shower tray was coming away from the walls and when we ripped it up we found out why. Shower and screen weren’t sealed correctly so water was getting through to the wooden subfloor.🤦🏻‍♂️ We had to rip everything out, repair & replace the joists, insulation, flooring, multipanel walls, and Lino. Customer wanted to reuse the shower, Screen & tray. Brightening this bathroom up and making sure it’s safe for future guests. Another happy customer and we move on to the next job 👊🏻👊🏻
