More progress on this garage conversion.
This stage involved a few important changes to get everything working correctly and in line with the building control and structural drawings.
The existing door was moved across to allow for a return. We also built up two courses of brickwork where the old garage door opening was, ready for the new window frames and internal stud work.
We also uncovered a leaking old clay drain pipe underneath the concrete floor. The floor was carefully broken out, the old pipe removed and replaced with new plastic drainage, then taken through the wall to allow us to reposition the toilet and create more space in what was a very tight bathroom.
Another job done properly, with the right preparation now making a big difference to the finished conversion.
