We are currently recruiting for a Junior Electrical Estimator to join the business. With various contract values up to £1m, projects primarily focused within the commercial sector and working alongside the directors of the business, this is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious individual to join a successful and rapidly growing team. The ideal candidate will have an electrical background, with hands on experience, you may not necessarily have had previous estimating or supervisory experience, however this would be highly advantageous.
The role offers excellent opportunities to develop your career and be involved with other aspects of the business whilst continually building on your skills.

Roles and Responsibilities
• Prepare tenders for electrical installation projects
• Produce take-offs and measure specific items using relevant software
• Produce final compilation of tenders
• Issue tender packages to sub-contractors and suppliers, ensuring all the relevant information is provided
• Ensure quotations are received back by the specified date, to meet deadlines

Key Skills and Experience Required
Ideally you will have 1 - 2 years’ experience as a Junior / Assistant Electrical Estimator, but we would also very much consider a Qualified Engineer who has a desire to progress and take up an Office based role within the Estimating department.

• Computer literate
• Good written skills and document organisation
• Good knowledge of current electrical standards
• Experience as a qualified electrician
• Pro-active team-player
• Good attention to detail

The package and salary on offer is very much dependent on the individual, based on the skills, attributes, and experience they can offer to the team. Any relevant training to equip you with the technical and commercial knowledge you’ll need to gain further experience and progress within your career will be provided.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced electrical engineer to join a steadily expanding team.

Due to expansion and development, we currently have a vacancy for a fully qualified Electrician who has experience in installation and maintenance.

You will be required to carry out electrical installation, maintanance, fault finding, diagnostics, testing and installations in a full range of premises.

Travelling to sites all around the country is an essential requirement.



Main Duties

Electrical installation on industrial and commercial properties

Respond quickly to emergency breakdowns

Carry out planned preventative maintenance tasks

Take part in health & safety incentives

Take part in continuous improvement related projects

Completing all electrical testing in accordance to the 18th Edition qualification.

Responding to any urgent issues in a prompt and professional manner in order to maintain high customer engagement.



Essential Qualifications

Completed a full apprenticeship within Electrical Engineering.

Qualified to City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation & Testing.

Hold a current City & Guilds 2394 or 2395 Inspection and Testing certification.

Hold the current 18th Edition Electrical Installations certificate (or at least the 17th Edition).

Hold a current Enhanced DBS certificate or be willing to obtain one is essential.

Must hold a full UK driving license.



Candidate Requirements

A hands-on and positive approach to problem solving, with a can-do attitude.

Experienced in completing electrical testing, inspection and installation works.

Experience with installing, servicing and maintaining electrical systems and appliances in accordance with the current Edition of The IET Wiring Regulations.

Have experience in completing Electrical Certificates or Electrical Condition Reports.

Be willing to adapt and learn new technical skills that potentially cut across discipline boundaries.

Be able to work both individually and as part of a team.

Have experience of commercial and industrial work.

Have a strong understanding of health & safety legislation.

Be able to perform to a high standard under pressure and to tight deadlines.
