This one was super tricky. Such a confined space climbing up onto the counter then down between to cylinder or up onto the cylinder to fit this all in.

The challenge was to keep all existing components but reconfigured to allow the addition of the double regs, service valves and convert the system into primary and secondary circuits through the use of CCT, whilst still allowing access to all for future maintenance.

Adjusting the Kv value through the double regulating valve allows this system to be easily set up for the correct flow rates on the larger circuits and changing the pump setting from fixed to proportional-pressure allows the pump to adapt with the change of the heat demand on the system. The boilers pump was set at constant matching the flow demands in the MI’s. The kW rating was also reduced from 30 to 20.

Next upgrade to this will be priority hot water and weather compensation using VR66 and Senso Comfort

Throughly enjoyed this job even though it was tricky, incorporating the brazed headers I use consistently in my projects makes this more interesting to pipe up.
