Damp and mould issues in properties are often caused by poor or inadequate ventilation - and in many cases, a standard “swap” of an extractor fan simply isn’t enough.

At Worcester Wire, we’re domestic ventilation qualified, allowing us to properly design and specify solutions that address the root cause - not just the symptom.

On this recent project, previous installations had failed to resolve ongoing humidity issues. We carried out a full ventilation upgrade, including:

- Replacement of a poorly installed extractor fan
- Installation of a high-performance ceiling-mounted humidity-sensing fan (allowing extended run-time to fully reduce moisture levels)
- Upgrading loft ducting from non-insulated to insulated to prevent condensation forming inside the system
- Installation of an inline booster fan due to a long duct run, improving air extraction efficiency to the external outlet

We’re pleased to report the customer is over the moon with the results.
