A cheeky consumer unit relocation this week, along with an upgraded shower cable. Days in the loft seem to be getting harder, those tight spaces are getting tighter… relocated to the bedroom. Full re-test and client left happy. Cables now have RCD protection, improved safety and a fully 18th edition compliant consumer unit. On to the next!

Garage Glow Up

A small garage upgrade underway this week.

Adding a couple of additional weatherproof sockets to match the existing, some containment alterations to suit. Getting everything ready for some permanent workbenches and a few appliances provisions the client has planned.

Garages can be a really useful space with just a few small upgrades – extra sockets, better lighting, and suddenly it becomes a proper workspace.

A clean, minimal finish with precise control — looking forward to seeing how the space comes together once it’s fully decorated.

An EICR is basically a health check for your electrics ⚡

It looks for anything unsafe, worn, or likely to cause problems in the future — helping keep people safe and avoid nasty surprises later on.

For landlords, it’s also a legal requirement. For homeowners, it’s peace of mind.

Another great little project, adding 2 x additional sockets in the lounge and hallway along with some lighting alterations. With some careful planning between the client and myself. We agreed on a way to house the cables within the wall as discreetly as possible until they re-decorate.

Just a final fill of the chase to do when next on site. Let me know what you think, also your thoughts on those 'trendi' sockets, a 1st for me but I like them!
