⚡️Voltage Optimisation⚡️

The power from the National Grid is supplied at a higher voltage than is required to run every day electrical appliances. Officially the normal supply voltage in the UK is 230V, the actual voltage supplied by the National Grid fluctuates around an average of 242V!

Most electrical appliances in the UK are rated at 220V. Therefore, appliances are being supplied more electricity than necessary/required to operate. Resulting in both lost energy usage and unnecessary financial cost. As well as extra wear and tear on your appliances.

By installing a voltage optimiser you can reduce the voltage received by your home or business. Voltage optimisers are installed in series with your electricity supply, between the distribution transformer and the main low voltage distribution board. When the electricity passes through a Voltage Optimiser, the supply voltage will be reduced/stepped down to the required amount. Any excess voltage being supplied will be simply returned back to the grid and not used on site.

💡We have just started a site wide LED lighting upgrade for one of our new clients. The benefits of the new LED light fittings are💡:

🟢Reduction in cost of running/energy efficient
🟢Reduction in Carbon Footprint
🟢Increase in Light Output

In addition to the LED lighting upgrade we will be installing site wide External Lighting and new Emergency Lighting.

The photos show our team working at height off a Mobile Elevated Working Platform (MEWP).

💡It’s not everyday you get to see a consumer unit full of cavity wall insulation!!

Luckily the client asked us to upgrade their consumer unit from the old style rewireable type to a new modern board which includes RCD and surge protection devices.

Nice little job carried out by one of our qualified electricians.💡

In readiness for the October energy price rises there are still a few things which we can all do to try and reduce our bills.

Here are a few tips which we hope could help you save money on your future energy bills:

🟢Turn appliances and devices off rather than leave them in standby mode.

🟢Change/upgrade standard light fitting lamps and bulbs to LED equivalents.

🟢Install smart heating controls like Nest or Hive to heat up your home and hot water only when needed.

🟢Turn off lights when you leave a room.

🟢Keep radiators clear to allow heat to spread more efficiently.

🟢Turn the heating thermostat down by 1 or 2 degrees.

🟢Install adequate loft insulation.

🟢Use a 30 degree washing cycles rather than higher temperature washes

🟢Where possible dry clothes without a tumble dryer.

🟢Take shorter showers.

🟢Try and reduce the use of dishwashers.

🟢Only boil the water in your kettle for what you need.

🟢When buying new appliances, try and buy A rated energy efficient appliances.

There are of course many other ways in which you could save money on your energy bills and some suggestions may be more budget friendly than others.

Another example of a Lindrick Construction Group project.

A large conversion of an old Grain Barn in to a luxury state of the art home, worthy of being on Grand Designs.

This build comprises of 6 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms and an internal annexe complete with lift. The ground floor will be a massive open plan area, with a seperate living room and office. The entrance to the property will be amazing, with a grand bespoke staircase and atrium!

The project is well underway and we can’t wait to start the internal fit out.

The teams involved in the project have worked tirelessly to keep the project on track.

We can’t forget our fantastic client who has amazing foresight and visions of what they want.

SJR under 9’s Girls football team would like to say a massive thanks to Carlton MOT Centre Ltd, Lindrick Electrical, Gibbs and Dandy Worksop and Wright Engineering for their kind donations and sponsorship.

With the help and donations that have been given, we have been able to provide the girls with new training kits, training aids, winter jackets and new home/away kits, which hopefully will see them through the next two seasons.

The girls, coaches and parents are all extremely grateful.

Nice to see progress being made on a Lindrick Group project of 4, three story, semi detached houses situated in Creswell.

2nd fixes now complete with the internal fit outs well underway of the kitchens and bathrooms, which are being carried out by Direct Factory Kitchens Ltd

Few photos of a recently refurbished boardroom for one of our clients. New lighting, emergency lighting, sockets and power.

The refurbishment was part of a larger project, which involved a total electrical rewire of their main offices.

⚡️An LED lighting upgrade to a small section of a factory in readiness for the delivery of new machinery and processes to be installed.⚡️

The old lighting system and circuits were removed and new installed as part of this phase of the project.

This particular phase of the project was brought forward ahead of schedule due to new machinery being delivered earlier than expected.

Top effort by the Lindrick Electrical team who delivered the lighting upgrade within an unexpected shift in the programme and shortened time scale 💪🏻👊🏻
