✨ Job completed at the lovely Colonnade House on Steyne Gardens ✨

We were recently called out to replace two undersink water heaters at Colonnade House Art Gallery, a well-known and highly regarded venue in Worthing.

After inspection, the existing heaters were found to be beyond economical repair, with age and scale build-up affecting performance and reliability.

We supplied and installed two new 2kW undersink water heaters, connected them into the existing pipework, tested everything thoroughly, and commissioned both units to ensure they were working safely and efficiently.

Another clean, professional installation completed, restoring reliable hot water with minimal disruption.

Hot then cold then hot again… 🚿😅

This customer was having this issue with their hot water, couldn’t get a steady temperature at all.

Stripped the boiler down and found the plate heat exchanger badly blocked, and the return assembly full of sludge and debris. You can see from the photo how much build up was inside, restricting the flow and causing the temperature to keep fluctuating.

Thing is, this system didn’t have a filter fitted. All that dirt and sludge has nowhere to go, so it ends up blocking components like this over time.

Cleaned it all out, put it back together and it’s now running properly with consistent hot water again.

If your hot water is going hot and cold like this, it’s usually a sign something’s starting to block up.

Strange noise… just 2 weeks after a service 👀

We were called out to a boiler that had recently been serviced by another company, after the customer noticed something didn’t sound right.

On inspection, we uncovered some serious issues:

* A leaking burner seal, allowing carbon monoxide to escape into the boiler
* A failed baffle inside the heat exchanger, with a hole burned straight through it

This is exactly why a thorough service matters.

Not every issue is visible from the outside, and without a proper strip-down, faults like this can easily be missed.

A complete service should always include:

* Strip-down and inspection of key components
* Checks on burner seals and combustion chamber
* Internal inspection for wear or damage
* Flue gas analysis and full safety checks

Carbon monoxide is silent and invisible. Even when contained within the boiler, problems like this can affect performance and safety if left unresolved.

If you’re not sure what your boiler service actually includes, it’s always worth asking the question.
