Bedroom completed the right way 👌

This bedroom had been left “completed” by a so called decorator, how they walked away and left it that way I’ll knew know. But .. after days of prep, sanding away the orange peel effect on the walls, scraping the bits off the paint work, raking out the hair line cracks,skimming over patch work and sanding all done again..it was then ready for painting. Ceiling x2 coats of white , walls x2 coats of vinyl Matt in Skimming Stone and woodwork x1 undercoat and x1 aqua satin . The results speak for themselves when the work is done with some pride and a colour that actually compliments the furnishings 🙂

Facelift complete to this front room 👌

Dado rails and wall paper removed, sanded half to death. Filled and sanded again. Then painted up with a clean modern finish using Farrow & Ball colours mixed to a Johnstones durable Matt finish 🎨

When the wrong paint is used in a high moisture area .. this is the outcome. By no means not the worst I’ve seen but still unnecessary in the first place as this was supposedly done by a decorator previously 🤷‍♂️. Scraped back the loose , peel stopped the edges, SBR the plaster and a drop in with the filler and skimmed, x3 coats of Perma white = bulletproof 👍

Some pics from the rental freshen up just completed .. all ceilings were cracked to pieces so the process of fixing these was raking them out , fixings any loose boards back in place, SBR them and fill flush as possible , then all prepped up and painted throughout 👍

Not my usual thing freshening up rental properties, but for a regular customer who wanted this bungalow re freshening for rental I made an exception. Not my standard level of prep here , as that wasn’t the clients wishes it was just a general prep and good freshen up throughout so that’s what I did for them 👍
