CARING FOR YOUR BIOGAS DIGESTER

Proper care of your Anaerobic Biogas Digester Plant gives it a mininum of fifty-five (55) years life span.

1. Always use mild detergents/disinfectants/washing agents to clean your water closet. Strong detergents may kill or reduce the activity of bacteria in the digester.

2. Avoid introduction of non-biodegradable materials such as polythene bags into the digester system. This ensures a blockage-free system and makes the system to work efficiently.

3. Always contact qualified personal in case of any malfunction of the digester.

1. Waste from Septic Tanks is the most frequently reported cause of ground water pollution. (USA EPA, 1977)

2. Septic tank effluent may contain potentially infectious microorganisms, including bacteria, parasites and viruses.

3. Several studies have shown that viruses could move as far as 65 meters from Septic tank (Vaughn et. al, 1983) and persist for 131 days in ground water (Stramer, 1984).
