Nam Da House in Lam D**g, Vietnam, was shaped by a modest budget, local construction methods and a site exposed to intense western sunlight.

Designed by 24Minimalist Architecture, the 105 m² home uses a low, extended tiled roof to shade the facade and reduce direct afternoon sun.

At its center, an open garden brings daylight, natural ventilation and vegetation deeper into the house, connecting the living room, kitchen and bedrooms around a shared outdoor space.

An existing tree was also preserved, passing through an opening in the roof rather than being removed.

Would you live in a house organized around a central garden?
