DfMA at Tseung Kwan O, Desalination Plant

We used DfMA facade for buildings at TKODP, it was something we hadn’t done before and had to work with it strategically. Seeing the RO modular skids importing from Nantong to Hong Kong by a container ship. We are amazed the process went so smooth!

Reaching this major milestone in the project with great success gives us huge confidence and we can’t wait to see the completion soon!

A Visit to Tseung Kwan O Desalination Plant

During our excursion to Tseung Kwan O Desalination Plant, we had experienced and seen the production in person. We were in absolute awe; it had felt incredible and so special to see our design come to life and being built in front of us. It was an unforgettable experience, where we were able to see the scale, view, using VR technology to experience the site and learning about the safety precautions. We loved the visit and excited to see the finished project.

Hung Hom Redevelopment – Leasing Show Suite at 4 Bulkeley Street

APU commissioned the design for the retail section of Hung Hom Baker Circle, a path of the street demonstration is displayed in the sales office at Mira mall. A 25 m street filled with culture, history, technology and joy. The open shop facades and street creates an inviting and alluring atmosphere. It will be brand new area you do not want to miss out on!

Design, Build and Operate First Stage of Tseung Kwan O Desalination Plant

The project carried out by Water Supplies Department covers a site area of over 50,000 s.m. with more than 15 buildings for administration and associated facilities and targets for a daily capacity of 135,000 m3 of local water production. Acting as the Project Architect, APU adopted water wave features and Chinese elements in every detail of the architectural design, and incorporated DfMA in the facade design.

The successful BIM adoption by the internatioanl multi-discipline team was recognized by Autodesk BIM Awards 2020, CIC BIM Achievement 2020 and HKIBIM Award 2020.
