Glass blocks, Corten steel, concrete, and ironwood shingles come together to define the façade of D**o Apartments, creating a distinct architectural identity within its surrounding urban fabric. The interplay of textures, tones, and materials sets the building apart from its neighbouring structures, giving it a presence that feels both grounded and expressive.
Along the balconies, planter boxes introduce a softer layer to the architecture, with cascading lee kuan yew plants bringing movement and greenery to the building’s exterior. This integration of landscape and material creates a balance between the solidity of the structure and the organic qualities of nature, allowing greenery to become an integral part of the façade and its relationship with the neighbourhood.
