The last block of Sewing classes at Paddy Mac's Coachford finished last week. Thank you Aileen and staff, for being so accommodating and the cuppa's 🙏

All at different stages of sewing skills. From complete beginner to haven't sewn in a while.

Made in 6 weeks .
✂️Sunglasses holder,

✂️Tote bag lined and pocket
✂️And a purse 👛

👉Group two Advance
Made a bestie bag 👜
✂️ cutting pattern and notches
✂️ fabric cutting
✂️Lining bag
✂️zip and pocket
✂️sewing around a curve
✂️ Adding a strap

Most important, We had laughs and gained new skills 🪡

Will be sharing all new classes in mid August. Dates ,prices and times ect

Wednesday's Teens and kids sewing classes, at Glanmire Area Community Association. Out for the summer 🌞

They learnt a lot and made friends along the way 💕
Well done class, lovely group to teach. 🥰
🐥Even a little chick got a "tailored hat" 😆

What they learnt over the last 6 weeks
✅ Learning about bucket hat pattern plus cutting
✅ Learning about measuring
✅ Notches on pattern and fabric
✅ Pinning fabric around a circle
✅ Ironing
✅ Top stitching around a circle
✅ Assembling for the bucket hat
✅ Hand stitching

Sewing classes will commence in mid September.
Will be posting new autumn sewing classes in August time.

💕Fabulous group of 6 Ladies, 💕

Missing 2 ladies from the final photo.

Wednesday adults sewing classes, they kept me busy the last 6 weeks 😅

💪They got stuck in learning about adjusting a pattern.

We had great laughs along the way and a few sweets 😆

Wow, I'm very impressed and delighted!!! from an A line dress pattern, we adjusted the pattern to suit their body shape . From drafting a dress to finishing a toile dress.

Learnt
✅ Measuring body shape.
✅ Adjusting A line pattern to their size.
✅ Solving bodice dress in more details, Adjusting.
✅ Cutting fabric,
✅ Laying out pattern on fabric
✅ Facings.
✅Darts
✅ Hemming and seam allowance.
✅ Adjusting toile if needed
✅ Working with new tools.

Sewing classes finished till September.

❤️Mother and Daughter sewing workshop ❤️

Well done Ladies and girls 👏👏👏👏.

A lovely day was spent together, They made matching aprons 🫶

🪡Today's workshop they learnt

✅ Learning measurements to suit shape
✅ Learning to cut fabric
✅ Learning about Patterns
✅ Learning to use a sewing a machine
✅ Learning hemming , gathering
✅ Learning to assemble an apron.

And..just like that, 6 weeks of kids sewing classes is done , Donoughmore Community Centre

👏 I am very proud of the kids Tuesday sewing classes, They did a lot and learnt a lot👏👏👏👏👏🥰

In class they made a bucket hat 🤠 and bookmark 📚
