For my birthday this year I am asking for support for Island projects...
I am getting old & I am riddled with painful arthritis, but I am still trying to do a bit of work on Inishbofin through funds from the ‘Inishbofin Island Work Fund… to date €6,000 has gone towards community projects. (See Facebook link to page below) The €4,000 that is left is going towards 804 crushed stone for work on mountain roads. Last summer I bought some items for the graveyard, eg, flowers / containers, a little container for paint tools, paint, items for anyone to use to maintain plots, paint for tables. Also last summer Michael Mathis donated a lawnmower to the graveyard, thanks again Michael.
I will be ordering grave digging tools eg. spades, pickaxe, shovels next week for the graveyard. We also need a shed to hold these items, the lawnmower, etc in the graveyard… haven’t priced the shed yet… we need to get at least two more recycled plastic tables (cost €850.00 each) for exposed areas of Bofin like Tra Gheal and the Dun Mor area. Other items we need eg… paint, cutting tools, sand, cement, paving… projects eg… tidy up old water wells, flowerbeds… lots to do so if you would like to help us please donate to the ‘Inishbofin Island Work Fund, through the link below… and share the link too… thanks to everyone who has supported us so far and that has worked on projects… and thanks for your continued support 🙂.
