Hi everyone! I realized I haven't uploaded any pictures from our Cactus and Succulent show in June 🥲

Last month our cactus and succulent show and competition took place on the 21st of June - our members had a brilliant weekend showing their prized plants and chatting to everyone that came to enjoy the day

I'd like to thank our exhibitors, our judge of show Michael Harrington, Octav Cristiu for presenting a talk on the unique features of cacti and succulents, and everyone who helped with organizing and setup

We'd also like to thank the National Botanic Gardens of Ireland for hosting our show and presentation, and all the wonderful staff who helped make our day a success

We are so excited for the weekend ahead! This Saturday 21st June, come join us at the National Botanic Gardens in Glasnevin for our annual Cactus and Succulent show. We'll also have a presentation about cacti + succulents and what makes them special, read on for more info!

Our exhibitors will put on another amazing display of their most prized plants - (check out last years! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WTogtYcND5o&t=15s)

This year we'll be adding a competitive element to the show, with prize cards awarded within each category. We thank Michael Harrington for coming on to judge the plants at the show.
Michael has been growing cacti and succulents and promoting the hobby for years, and has also judged plant shows up and down the country. We are delighted to have his help!

This year we are also delighted to announce that Dr Octav Cristiu will be giving a presentation on cacti and succulents, also at the Botanic Gardens this Saturday.

All in all, we're looking forward to an amazing day of cactus and succulents. And of course - there's the wonderful glasshouses and cafe at the Botanic Gardens to make it a jam-packed day out.

The weather's back! Here's some photos from our members' plants over the weekend. Just in time for our Cactus and Succulent show this Saturday at the Botanic Gardens!

Join us from 10.30am til 5pm at the Teak House, National Botanic Gardens

The Teak House is located through the front gate, walk around to the entrance of the cafe, and it's the glasshouse in front of you! Or, coming from the carpark, it's the big glasshouse beside you)

We had a lovely visit today to Desert Plants of Avalon's greenhouse in Belfast!

Thank you so much to Lyn Kimberley and Andreas Meyer for welcoming us to your home and showing us your wonderful collection. It was so impressive to see such thriving plants, and the air plants display was a work of art!

I was passing through Belfast this weekend and got to visit the cactus and succulent collection at the Botanic Gardens!

I missed a couple of the cacti, but got some lovely photos all the same
