Small crafting isn’t always the smooth, perfect thing people imagine.

Some days it’s bubbles that just won’t disappear, flowers that keep shifting no matter how carefully they’re placed, and sanding the same spot over and over because it still isn’t quite right.

What keeps the process going is that quiet hope every time: stay patient, add real care layer by layer, and something beautiful might actually come together.

And honestly the finished piece usually turns out way prettier than expected, even after all the frustration.

Behind every handmade piece there’s usually a little story of trial and error like that. If you’ve ever had a project push back hard and then end up being one of your favorites…you know the feeling. 🫶

Hey friends… it’s been way too quiet here, hasn’t it? 😅

The workshop felt like a real challenge just to stay on top of everything. We kept showing up anyway. Sanding late, tweaking pours, learning from the little mishaps…because that’s where the good stuff happens. 🤭

Then this board came along and was one of those tricky ones. We almost set it aside more than once. But we kept going, placing each petal with real care, letting the intention build layer by layer.

That’s what we love most about handmade: it takes time, patience, and heart (especially when things aren’t smooth). And somehow this one turned into one of our favorites, a soft little reminder that the harder pieces often end up meaning the most.

A year can change everything. Not all at once, but piece by piece. ♥️

We started The Flip Loft quietly, from absolute scratch with furniture flipping, dusty hands, and the simple joy of making something old feel alive again. No big plan, no pressure, just a shared urge to create, to spend time together, and to see where curiosity might lead. Over time, that curiosity expanded, pulling us toward new materials, new techniques, and eventually into the world of resin, where experimentation became part of our daily rhythm. 🎵

This year has been beautiful and challenging in equal measure. It asked for patience, flexibility, and trust…especially on the days when progress felt invisible. But somewhere along the way, this “little project” became something more. It became our space, our rhythm, our small world of creation. ✨

The Flip Loft is still growing. Still learning. Still evolving.
But this video is a reminder of where it all began, and why we started in the first place. 🤭

We took a little pause. A chance to step back, reflect, and reconnect with why we create. It gave us space to remember that the work is not just about the end result, but about the presence, intention, and care poured into every step.

Beauty emerges when we slow down, when we focus on intention, and when we let ourselves be fully present with the process. It’s in these quiet, mindful moments that the work truly comes alive.

Slowly but surely, the gifting season is creeping in…and our studio is getting busier every day. 🎅🏻🎁

Packing is honestly one of my favourite parts of the whole process. I get to slow down, wrap everything with intention and watch everything come together. ✨

There’s something oddly calming about packing an order… maybe it’s the ASMR, or maybe it’s knowing our pieces are about to start a whole new life in someone’s home. 🤍

I’ve loved creating every single clock we’ve made, even the ones that didn’t go perfectly, because each one taught us something new about the process (and about patience hehe).

But there’s just something about this black and gold one. Maybe it’s the contrast, the way the light hits those golden streaks, or maybe it’s that quiet kind of luxury it brings into any space. It feels timeless, sophisticated… and honestly, a bit magical. ✨

What I love most about functional resin art is that it’s not just something to look at…it’s something that lives with you. It becomes part of your home, your moments, your rhythm.
